HPI Stage-D24: is indoor micro drifting becoming real RC modeling?

Forget cheap micro toys that slide randomly on your living floor. HPI Racing is getting serious in the micro-scale scene with the Stage-D24: a ground-up bespoke 1/24 scale rear-wheel drive (RWD) chassis designed strictly for drifting.

A highly detailed 16-piece hardbody

The first highlight is the officially licensed 2024 Toyota GR Supra body. Rather than a conventional lightweight polycarbonate shell, HPI went with a highly detailed 16-piece hardbody featuring clear windows, separate light buckets, and scale wings. A magnetic body mounting system keeps the exterior clean, with no body posts spoiling the lines.

Bespoke RWD Drift Chassis

Under the body, the Stage-D24 offers impressive mechanical features:

• Bespoke 2WD Chassis: 102mm adjustable wheelbase and 80mm adjustable width.
• Suspension: Independent front suspension and T-bar rear suspension with adjustable spring pre-load.
• Extreme Steering Angle: Up to 67.5 degrees of steering angle to hold deep drift angles without spinning out.
• Rear Drivetrain: 3-gear rear-mounted transmission, spool differential, rear CVD driveshafts, and a 3mm orange anodized aluminum motor plate.
• Electronics & Gyro: 37-turn 370-sized brushed motor powered by the SRL-805 integrated ESC/gyro/receiver. Gyro gain is adjustable directly from the transmitter.

Ready-to-Run (RTR)

The model comes fully assembled. The box includes a 7.4V 600mAh LiPo battery and USB charger. Available in Prominence Red and Metallic Dawn Blue for around 179 USD.
